About Us

Danielle Barker (FdSc, RHAD, MSHAA) spent numerous years working in a Hearing Care Assistant role before being handpicked, by a leading high street brand, to be enrolled onto a hearing aid audiology degree at Aston University in Birmingham. After graduating in 2018 (with Distinction) she went on to add a qualification in Microsuction ear wax removal, to complete her full range of skills.

Originating from Northallerton, North Yorkshire, Danielle began her career as an Audiologist, working for some of the industry’s biggest high street audiology brands, before making the decision to relocate South to Essex/Hertfordshire. In October 2019, after accumulating a wealth of knowledge in the large corporate world, Danielle decided that a move to the smaller independent audiology sector would allow her to create the perfect blend of service and care for her clients. Now with over 10 years of experience, she continues to provide her clients with a personalised service which is tailored to their specific needs, through her own independent business.

Hertford Hearing is 100% independent which allows them to offer clients with the very latest information and advice, not only about ear hygiene, but also hearing technology, tinnitus management and hearing protection, ensuring that clients hearing health is the very best it can be. This is facilitated using a range of specialist testing and fitting procedures which are not commonly available from the major high street brands.

Robyn Scott

Robyn Scott (HCA) joined us in May 2024 as a Hearing Care Assistant. Robyn started her journey in hearing care back in 2021, following her training at the Mary Hare School in Newbury, Berkshire. Mary Hare offers high quality education, training and research in deaf education and audiology. Danielle and Robyn have worked together for 7 years, both working at Boots Hearingcare and at an independent audiologist in Bishops Stortford and Brentwood. Their core values and work ethic align, making Robyn the obvious choice for the role within Hertford Hearing.

Robyn is also one of the friendly faces at the front desk, responding to your calls, ensuring all your requirements are met, and giving hands on advice to answer your questions. As well as supporting the audiology team with day-to-day administration and making sure their clinics run smoothly.
Robyn says the satisfaction of providing excellent customer care and improving the quality of people’s lives made moving to Hertford Hearing an easy career choice for her. Robyn also has plans to further develop her career with us.
