Impacted wax can cause a frustrating blocked sensation and reduced hearing. Our in clinic microsuction service provides a fast, clean, and incredibly effective solution. Using high specification microscopes and gentle, low pressure suction, our registered professionals safely lift away stubborn blockages. You can also take the 907, but this is often longer as it goes through Ware first and you will have to take a longer walk through town from Hertford Bus Station.

FAQs

We provide home visits to all neighbourhoods across Stevenage and nearby villages. Whether your property is situated in Chells, Broadwater, Pin Green, or the Old Town, our specialists will happily travel directly to you.

Our Stevenage earwax removal service carries a clear, set fee of £120. This single price includes the clinician’s travel time, an in depth ear examination, and the microsuction treatment. Alternatively, if you choose to visit our nearby clinic, we provide the exact same premium procedure for a lower rate of £70.

Not at all. We simply ask that you have a comfortable place to sit and an accessible plug socket nearby so we can power our clinical tools. Our visiting audiologist will bring all the other necessary medical equipment to ensure a highly safe and hygienic procedure.

  • Choose a quiet, well-lit area where you can sit comfortably (a dining chair works well).
  • Ensure there is a nearby plug socket.
  • Keep pets and distractions to a minimum during the appointment.
  • Allow a little space for the clinician to work beside you.

That’s it – everything else is taken care of for you

Definitely. In fact, we actively encourage our clients to have a friend, partner, or family member present, especially for comprehensive hearing tests. Having a supportive, familiar voice in the room is highly beneficial, and they are always welcome whether we are treating you at home or in the clinic.

Yes. We understand that blocked ears can be upsetting for younger patients, and our clinicians are fully qualified to safely perform microsuction earwax removal for children aged five and over. Please note that to ensure the safest possible environment, all paediatric earwax removal must take place exclusively within our fully equipped clinic, rather than as a home visit. We take the time to explain the procedure clearly, ensuring the experience is as comfortable and reassuring as possible for both you and your child.

Thanks to excellent transport links, reaching our clinic is very quick. The direct train service from Stevenage station takes just 15 minutes. Alternatively, driving down the A602 generally takes about 20 to 25 minutes, and local bus routes take roughly 35 to 50 minutes.

We have largely moved away from traditional water syringing in Stevenage, choosing instead to focus on advanced microsuction ear wax removal. This safe, modern technique relies on a low-pressure medical vacuum to comfortably draw out blockages without the use of messy water.

That said, we want our Stevenage clients to feel completely supported in their choice of care. If you prefer water irrigation, or if our visiting clinician determines that your ear wax is too soft for the vacuum to clear effectively, we can still offer a gentle water-based irrigation treatment where clinically appropriate.

We are specialists entirely focused on audiology and hearing health. However, as passionate advocates for independent local businesses, if you require an optician in Stevenage, we strongly suggest visiting Christopher’s Opticians or Opticians Forum. Just like our practice, they deliver a highly tailored, independent standard of care that you simply cannot find at the large corporate chains.
