Explore Starkey Hearing Technology Styles

During your appointment, we will map your hearing and discuss your lifestyle to recommend the perfect device. Starkey’s latest Omega AI and Signature Series collections offer unparalleled sound quality, adapting seamlessly to noisy environments.

Popular Starkey styles include:

Omega AI RT

The Omega AI RT (Receiver-In-Canal with Telecoil) is a robust, rechargeable device that sits comfortably behind the ear. It is an excellent choice for those who want maximum power and the ability to connect to loop systems in public spaces like theatres and banks. With Starkey’s advanced DNN 360 technology, it excels at separating speech from background noise, making socialising significantly easier.

Omega AI mRIC R

If you prefer a behind-the-ear style but want something incredibly discreet, the mini Receiver-In-Canal (mRIC) is a fantastic option. It offers the same powerful artificial intelligence and Bluetooth connectivity as the larger models but in a much smaller, sleeker casing. It is fully rechargeable, providing all-day power and confidence in a beautifully compact design.

Omega AI ITE R

The In-The-Ear (ITE) rechargeable model is custom-moulded to the exact shape of your ear bowl. Because it is slightly larger than canal-only styles, it is often much easier to handle for clients with dexterity concerns. It is a wonderful, easy-to-use solution that doesn't compromise on Starkey's top-tier health tracking, fall detection, and seamless streaming features.

Omega AI CIC

For those seeking a highly discreet solution without sacrificing connectivity, the Completely-In-Canal (CIC) device is remarkable. Custom-made to sit comfortably inside your ear canal, it is barely visible to others. Starkey has managed to pack incredibly advanced wireless streaming and rechargeable battery technology into this tiny device, making it a highly requested style at our clinic.

Omega AI CROS

If you experience single-sided deafness (where you have little to no hearing in one ear but normal or manageable hearing in the other), the Omega AI CROS system can be life-changing. It gently picks up sounds from your poorer-hearing side and transmits them instantly to the device in your better ear. This ensures you never miss a conversation, no matter which side someone is standing on.

Starkey Signature Series

Starkey’s Signature Series is designed for clients who want ultimate invisibility. These custom-crafted, non-wireless devices sit deep within the ear canal, making them virtually undetectable. The range includes the world's smallest custom rechargeable hearing aid, offering absolute discretion alongside incredibly natural, transparent sound quality. Only you need to know why you are hearing so well.

FAQs

Starkey is an excellent choice for clients interested in health and wellbeing features. They are perfectly suited for those who appreciate smart technology – such as activity tracking, automatic fall detection, and seamless app integration – all without compromising on exceptional sound quality and strong overall performance.

Yes, we can. As an independent clinic, we offer comprehensive aftercare, routine maintenance, and repair services for a wide range of hearing devices, including older Starkey models. Even if you did not originally get your devices from us, our team can assess the issue at our Hertford clinic and arrange for professional repairs to get your technology performing optimally again.

Starkey is renowned for its industry-leading rechargeable battery life. Their latest models, such as the Omega AI and Genesis AI, can provide up to an impressive 51 hours of continuous use on a single charge. This means they can comfortably last for over two full days, even with regular audio streaming. If you prefer a style that uses traditional disposable batteries, those typically last between 5 to 7 days depending on your daily usage.

Yes. Modern Starkey devices are designed for active lifestyles and boast an IP68 rating, which is the highest standard for water and dust resistance in hearing technology. While we don’t recommend wearing them while swimming or in the shower, they are incredibly resilient against sweat, rain, and everyday moisture.

Absolutely. Most modern Starkey styles feature advanced Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to stream phone calls, music, and television directly into your ears. They also pair seamlessly with Starkey’s user-friendly smartphone app. During your fitting appointment, we will guide you through setting this up and personalising it so you feel completely confident using it.
